JPMA Members Donate 950+ Car Seats to Louisiana Families
Impacted by Hurricane Laura

MT. LAUREL, N.J. (SEPT. 29, 2020) - The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) has partnered with its car seat manufacturer members to help provide relief to Louisiana families that were impacted by Hurricane Laura. Evenflo, Dorel, Britax, Chicco and Graco have committed pallets of car seats to help families protect their children in this time of need and Evenflo has generously donated 800 car seats. The car seats will be distributed to New Orleans and Lake Charles families impacted by the storm, and each seat will be installed by a technician from the Sudden Impact and Louisiana Passenger Safety Task Force.

“We feel for these families that have been going through the pandemic and have now lost so much from Hurricane Laura,” said Kelly Mariotti, JPMA’s Executive Director. “Especially during Baby Safety Month, we are thrilled to join with our car seat manufacturer members who are generously donating to help keep Louisiana babies and children safe and protected during this difficult time.”

September is Baby Safety Month, an annual time to focus on safety considerations unique to babies and young children, established by JPMA more than three decades ago to help parents safely navigate early childhood. Each year, JPMA offers parents actionable safety tips and useful resources to help them choose and use age appropriate products designed to support the safety of babies and young children in the home and while on the go. This year, JPMA is also recognizing charitable giving and volunteerism that supports infant and child safety.
