Baby Safety Alliance Announces Newly Elected Board of Directors

New directors bring broad industry perspective and commitment to future impact


MT. LAUREL, N.J., June 3, 2026 – The Baby Safety Alliance (formerly the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association) is pleased to announce its newly elected Board of Directors. The board members were recommended by the Nominating Committee and voted on by membership at the Annual Member Meeting on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, which was held during the Baby Safety Alliance Summit in Washington, D.C.


To be eligible to become a member of the Alliance board, an individual must be an employee of a member company that, at the time of election and throughout the board member’s tenure, is in good standing. Regular member manufacturers make up most of the board. Responsibilities of the board members include but are not limited to: sustaining the Alliance’s mission and purpose; ensuring effective planning; monitoring and strengthening programs and services of the Alliance; providing oversight of the Alliance budget and financial reporting; building a competent board; ensuring legal and ethical integrity; and enhancing the Alliance’s public standing.


The newly elected officers, who will each serve a one-year term, are as follows:


Chair: Walter Lehneis, HALO Dream, Inc.

Vice Chair: Mark Zehfuss, Larktale

Treasurer: Vartan Chldrian, Munchkin Inc.


Anna Early, Britax, will transition to the role of Immediate Past Chair.


The newly elected directors, who will each serve a three-year term, are as follows:

Judah Bergman, Jool Baby
Sarah Haverstick, Evenflo Company, Inc.
Brad Mattarocci, Baby Trend
Rebecca Mond, Amazon


Continuing directors are as follows:

Dan DeSimone, Dorel Juvenile Group

Julia Lentini, Mockingbird

Kerry Strzelecki, Graco/Newell Brands
