Industry Leaders Convene in Washington D.C. to Address Safety and Regulatory Challenges
MT. LAUREL, N.J., March 30, 2026 – The Baby Safety Alliance will host its 2026 Summit in Washington, D.C., June 2 to June 3. Formerly known as the JPMA Summit, the annual event brings together leaders from across the juvenile products industry to share their voices and advance a common mission of strengthening product safety for babies and young children. Programming will center on three pillars that define the Summit experience: collaborate, innovate, and advocate.
This year's event with the theme "Your Voice, One Mission" continues a long tradition of convening industry manufacturers, retailers, testing laboratories, safety experts, and government stakeholders at a time of rapid shifts in regulation, trade policy, and market dynamics.
“Every company, expert, and policymaker in this space has a voice in shaping the future of baby product safety,” said Lisa Trofe, Executive Director of the Baby Safety Alliance. “The Summit is where those voices come together around one mission—protecting families and strengthening the systems that support safer products for babies and young children.”
“The candid, practical conversations at the Summit bring real examples of how companies across the industry are tackling complex challenges,” said Julia Lentini, Vice President of Product Safety, Quality and Compliance at Mockingbird, who has attended the Summit for the past two years. “It provides a high-signal snapshot of the product safety and operating landscape while creating space for meaningful peer connections and shared solutions.”
The 2026 Summit will take place at Convene Hamilton Square in downtown Washington, D.C., with programming beginning at 8:30 a.m. on June 2. The two-day event will include:
A full day of Summit programming on June 2
The Baby Safety Alliance Annual Meeting (members only)
An evening networking reception for attendees
Capitol Hill meetings with policymakers on June 3
“Attending the Summit over the past two years, I’ve found that even competitors often share common objectives when it comes to product safety and industry standards,” said Elliott Levy, Senior Director of Regulatory Compliance at Dorel Juvenile Canada. “From a Canadian perspective, it’s valuable to see how the industry engages with U.S. policymakers on emerging issues while connecting with peers facing many of the same challenges.”
Industry leaders are encouraged to register online now at BabySafetyAlliance.org/Summit.
The Baby Safety Alliance thanks its 2026 Summit Sponsors, Bureau Veritas, Intertek and SGS, for their partnership and commitment to advancing the safety and quality of baby and children’s products.
