In 2015, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) launched the Anchor It! campaign. The program was developed to educate parents on the hazards of furniture and television tip-overs. The campaign urges parents to help prevent deaths and injuries by taking remediation action. JPMA is proud to be a partner in this important safety awareness campaign.
So far the campaign has reached an estimated 1.3 billion viewers in 34 states. The tip-over demonstration video filmed in CPSC’s lab was viewed 2.6 billion times. Over 100,000 tip cards and posters have been distributed nationwide. The campaign has even received national recognition for its PR efforts.
As a partner in the Anchor It! campaign, JPMA will be spreading the word through the Baby Safety Zone using #AnchorIt! We encourage all of our members to aid in these efforts by sharing with their audiences as well. Follow @JPMA and @USCPSC to retweet or use the following resources:

Though this campaign has seen much success, there is still more work to be done as tip-over accidents continue to injure and kill children. Spreading the word about preventative measures is as urgent and important as ever.
