JPMA Awards $12,500 to Five Student Recipients
Juvenile Industry group help students further their education by awarding academic scholarships
MT. LAUREL, NJ – August 3, 2015 - The Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA) is pleased to award $12,500 in academic scholarships to five recipients for the 2015 school year.
JPMA recently distributed five, $2,500 scholarships to children of JPMA member company employees, in their pursuit of excellence in higher education. The awards are based on scholastic achievement and future potential, leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, career aspirations and goals.
The recipients of the 2015 Scholarship Program are:
· Emily-Jane Cosgrove of Joovy
· Rebecca Deutmeyer of TOMY International
· Billie Jo Finnegan of NUK USA
· Margaret Gross of Chicco/Artsana
· Brittany Haines of Evenflo
“I will use the scholarship to help achieve my goal of becoming a nurse and serve the community where I live,” commented scholarship recipient Brittany Haines.
The Scholarship Program was instituted in 1995 with the hope of making more students aware of the juvenile products industry. Since the program’s inception, JPMA has awarded more than $237,500 to 120 students.
“The juvenile product industry is a continually evolving market,” said Kelly Mariotti, JPMA Executive Director. “The JPMA Scholarship Program helps foster growth in our industry while supporting our members and mission.”
