Join JPMA Associate Member, Connell Foley, as they address the importance and impact of “boilerplate” contract provisions found in various types of agreements, such as supply agreements, distribution agreements, manufacturing agreements, licensing agreements, and R&D agreements. The types of provisions to be discussed would include: integration clauses, governing law, forum selection clauses, force majeure clauses, price escalation clauses, indemnification clauses, etc.

Mitchell Taraschi – As the former Chair of Connell Foley’s Product Liability Group and current Co-Chair of Connell Foley’s Construction Group, Mitchell Taraschi delivers successful litigation outcomes for a diverse array of clients. He serves as a zealous advocate in state and federal courts in matters related to construction litigation, product liability and complex commercial litigation. Mitchell’s clients range from small businesses to global and Fortune 500 firms, including private and public works contractors, sub-contractors and owners/developers, manufacturing companies, cosmetics companies and pharmaceutical corporations. Mitchell has substantial product liability experience encompassing mass tort, construction and children’s products litigation.  Mitchell brings business acumen and creative solutions to bear for clients facing complex disputes. He also drafts and reviews all types of contacts including construction contracts, distribution contracts and vendor/supply agreements. 

 

Patrick Hughes - Patrick Hughes is a distinguished litigator and business advisor. As managing partner of the Cherry Hill office, he represents clients in significant commercial, product liability and mass tort litigation in state and federal courts in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. He is likewise skilled in an array of commercial transactions.  His defense of product liability actions also includes various chemical exposure cases as national coordinating counsel. Over the course of his career, Patrick has tried more than 50 cases.  In addition to his litigation work, Patrick is adept at complex corporate negotiations and has counseled clients in the chemical, energy and software sectors, among other industries, in all phases of commercial contracts.
