Beginning in 2023, new notification and compliance requirements for certain chemicals at the state-level will kick-in for juvenile product manufacturers. Tune into this webinar to learn from JMPA’s state consultants, Andy Hackman and Lauren Aguilar about what requirements might impact your company. Speakers:
Andy Hackman is a registered federal lobbyist who has testified before the U.S. Senate and has lobbied in over 25 state capitals. He previously served as vice president of government affairs for the Toy Industry Association (now the Toy Association), where he oversaw its advocacy programs at both the state and federal levels. Andy also has directed the national government affairs program of the Consumer Specialty Products Association (now the Household Consumer Products Association).
Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs from Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs and a Master of Business Administration from George Washington University. Lauren Aguilar is based in Sacramento, California as the West Coast Government Affairs Associate for Serlin Haley. She has spent the past two years lobbying in multiple west coast states including: California, Washington, Oregon, and Colorado, on a range of issues for Serlin Haley clients. She brings an expertise in state policy and strategy after six years working for the California legislature on the Assembly and the Senate. She is a graduate of the University of California at Davis, where she majored in political science with a minor in war and peace studies. In Sacramento she has been involved directly with the California Latino Capitol Association, the Republican Legislative Directors Caucus (which she co-chaired), and the Capitol Fellowship Program, as a mentor. A trivia buff and a "huge foodie," she says she spends her free time with her two labradoodles and seeking out the best latte wherever she travels.
