The Freight Crisis: Salvaging Q4 and Mitigating Risk in 2022 and BeyondStrategies for Regaining Control of Your Supply ChainJoin us on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM EDT for an insightful discussion led by a seasoned supply chain expert provides an overview of the current issues in moving freight internationally and a number of strategies, suggestions, and recommendations for mitigating the current dilemma caused by freight disruption. This sets the stage for an expanded discussion of longer term, strategic supply chain actions - actions that can assist companies with a global footprint in managing risk and lowering landed costs in 2022 and beyond. Speaker: Thomas Cook is managing director of Blue Tiger International, a global business consulting company in supply chain management, trade compliance, purchasing, and global trade & logistics. Tom has over 30 years experience in helping companies all over the world manage their business models, supply chain risk and spend and import/export operations. Under Tom's leadership, in May of 2018, Blue Tiger International won the president's "E" Award for Export Service, the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports. An educator as well as a business advisor, Tom serves as director of the National Institute of World Trade (NIWT), a nonprofit corporate training school on global trade and supply chain management, and has authored 19 books on business management, global trade and business development.
