The San Francisco Department of Environment is considering revisions to the San Francisco Flame Retardant Chemicals in Upholstered Furniture and Juvenile Products Ordinance. During this webinar, staff from the Department of the Environment will present the proposed revisions and provide an opportunity for questions and feedback. The webinar will also include an overview of GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals.
Presenters:
Pauli Ojea, SF Department of the Environment
Pauli Ojea is the Senior Commercial Toxics Reduction Coordinator for the San Francisco Department of the Environment. She works with businesses, large and small, to help them transition to safer products and practices. Pauli oversees the San Francisco Green Business Program and the San Francisco Healthy Nail Salon program, as well as the Department's work on flame retardant chemicals. She has over 15 years of sustainability experience, working primarily on issues related to zero waste and toxics reduction.
Shari Franjevic, Clean Production Action
Shari Franjevic is the GreenScreen Program Manager for Clean Product Action. She combines her chemical engineering education, consumer product design experience, and expertise in hazard assessment to develop pragmatic tools that advance the use of safer chemicals. Shari led the design of GreenScreen List Translator, the creation of the GreenScreen education and training program, the release of GreenScreen v1.4, and the launch of the GreenScreen Certified Program.
