Speaker Bios
Matthew Fasciano
President + CEO
Building on his extensive background in public service and mission-based leadership, in 2022, Matthew Fasciano assumed the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of Delivering Good, a national nonprofit that unites retailers, manufacturers, foundations, and individuals to provide people impacted by poverty and tragedy with new merchandise, effectively distributed through a network of community partners to offer hope, dignity, and self-esteem to at-risk children, families, and individuals. Responsible for overseeing all facets of the organization, Matthew drives the mission, fundraising, operations, and engagement with the board of directors.
In his previous role as the Chief Operating Officer of The Posse Foundation, Matthew oversaw the national operation and special program initiatives for this college success, youth development organization. He worked closely with Posse's board and president on key strategic initiatives to ensure organizational success as the organization more than doubled in size under his leadership.
Prior to Posse, Matthew worked for the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice first as Director of Operations and then as the department’s Deputy General Counsel. He advised executive staff on issues of law and policy and represented the agency in court and before oversight entities. Matthew has served on city and statewide advisory councils for alcoholism/substance abuse, domestic violence, and juvenile justice matters, and represented DJJ in alternative-to-detention and discharge planning/re-entry forums. He began his career as a teacher and Dean of Students with the New York City Department of Education and then practiced clinical social work for Counseling Service EDNY, The Children’s Aid Society and Safe Horizon. He has organized social justice initiatives for at-risk youth and youth from newer immigrant communities for NYC Council and served as a legislative and policy analyst for the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. His work on school violence, substance abuse and domestic violence has been recognized by the statewide District Attorney’s Association.
Matthew received a BA in Sociology, an MSW from New York University, and a JD from St. John’s University School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut. He is an active disaster responder with the Red Cross in Westchester County and a founding member of the Rye, NY chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization that builds bunkbeds for kids in need.
Donna Charles
Director of Strategic Initiatives
Donna Charles is a seasoned Director of Strategic Initiatives with a rich background in philanthropy. At Delivering Good, she oversees strategic initiatives and develops relationships with over 800 community partners across the U.S., Canada, Hawaii and Puerto Rico to ensure efficient and effective distribution of donated products.
Donna manages The Racial Equity Program, a pilot initiative uniting local nonprofits, corporations, and educational institutions in three communities to improve outcomes for BIPOC individuals.
Previously, she managed client communications and supported legal teams in preparing court documents for prestigious law firms. Donna holds an education from The New School for Social Research, complementing her robust skill set and dedication to philanthropy. Her comprehensive experience and operational expertise make her a vital asset committed to social impact.
Lauren Savage
Director of Marketing and Communications
Lauren Savage is the Director of Marketing and Communications for Delivering Good. A seasoned nonprofit marketer, she excels at developing brand experiences that build relationships, increase retention, and grow brand affinity. She has collaborated with organizational partners, nonprofit clients, and internal teams to create innovative advertising and marketing campaigns for national and global brands such as UNICEF USA, the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Monica, and clients such as Partners in Health, Equality Now, and the Obama Foundation. Lauren is a results-driven professional with extensive experience leading cross-functional teams and a proven ability to motivate and guide members to achieve exceptional success.
Originally from California, she has embraced the East Coast lifestyle. Lauren holds a B.A. in Global and International Studies from UC Santa Barbara and an M.A. in Urban Policy and Administration from the City University of New York, Brooklyn College. Passionate about finding solutions to solvable problems, she believes that diversity of thought can address many challenges and emphasizes the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling.
Merrie Keller
Director of Product Procurement
Merrie Keller heads up Product Procurement at Delivering Good. Merrie develops and implements strategies for soliciting and distributing in-kind donation goals with existing and new partners across the U.S., builds strategic partnerships, oversees procurement activities, and helps build purpose driven marketing campaigns. Merrie has contributed to the more than $3 billion in new merchandise acquired since Delivering Good's founding.
With deep expertise in product categories such as apparel, home furnishings, and beauty, Merrie has collaborated with corporate entities, fashion icons, celebrities, and entertainment brands. She is passionate about mental health, sustainability, and fashion, championing initiatives that enhance dignity and self-esteem in underserved communities.
Merrie holds a B.A. with honors from Tulane University and is a certified Mediator in Conflict Resolution and Business Negotiation, underscoring her skill in handling complex negotiations. Her blend of expertise and social consciousness makes her a respected professional committed to driving positive change through impactful partnerships and initiatives.
